Camp Guides

My name is Valérie Leclerc, I am originally from Bromont, Québec and moved to Yellowknife in 2015 and have fallen in love with the North. I live off-grid on the Ingraham trail. I love the lifestyle, the connection with wilderness, nature is so important for me, it’s my peaceful place. I have always had adventure in my life, from scuba diving to skydiving, I love and need diversity in life. I have been interested in, and studied, the human body since I was 18. From esthetics to psychology. Learning is always been a part of my journey and I have realized that children have been my best teachers so far. I love them so much that I just recently graduated as a counsellor / therapist for children and teenagers and offer my practice at Juniper Health. I am really happy to be part of the school program for Sundog and to bring those beautiful human beings to different adventure with us in the North.
Merci!

Shauna Morgan has been living in Yellowknife for the past 12 years, working in a variety of fields including leading outdoor adventure camps for children aged 5 to 15, working with the Bushkids program for the past 2 years, teaching piano lessons, helping to build the Snow Castle, and community development and planning work, including facilitating on-the-land workshops. Shauna is also currently in her second term as an elected Yellowknife City Councillor. Shauna enjoys spending much of her spare time outdoors—skiing, paddling, hiking, cycling, foraging and camping.

Richard & Christine are the owner / operators of Sundog Adventures. They have a family of three children, two cats, and 13 dogs (Wacko will be at Family Camp). We enjoy paddling, sailing, kicksledding, and most other outdoor activities.
